Bartlett was appointed to design, install and commission a bespoke heating, cooling and ventilation system for a luxury penthouse apartment, delivering a discreet, energy-efficient and acoustically optimised climate control solution tailored to the high-end interior design of the property.

Due to the premium specification, architectural aesthetics and strict acoustic requirements of the penthouse, Bartlett designed a sophisticated heat recovery air conditioning system using advanced Daikin VRV IV technology. The system incorporated high-efficiency Daikin VRV IV condensing units connected to FXDQ slimline concealed ducted fan coil units, providing powerful yet discreet heating and cooling throughout the apartment.

To maintain the clean architectural lines and luxury interior finish, each concealed ducted unit was connected via bespoke plenum boxes to custom-designed linear grilles. These grilles were carefully integrated into the interior fit-out to complement the premium design of each room while ensuring optimal airflow distribution. Particular attention was given to acoustic performance, with system noise levels maintained at approximately 25 dBA, creating an exceptionally quiet and comfortable living environment.

The penthouse ventilation system was further enhanced through the installation of a Daikin VAM heat recovery ventilation unit, delivering controlled fresh air ventilation while maximising energy efficiency and maintaining excellent indoor air quality throughout the property.

To provide complete convenience and intelligent building control, the entire HVAC installation was integrated with a web-based remote access interface, allowing the client to monitor and control the heating, cooling and ventilation system from anywhere in the world at any time via smartphone, tablet or desktop device.

The completed installation delivered a fully integrated luxury residential HVAC solution combining exceptional comfort, ultra-low noise levels, energy-efficient climate control and seamless smart home integration.
