As part of the multi-million-pound redevelopment of the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office in Taunton, Bartlett collaborated closely with the design team at BAM Construction to deliver a modern, high-performance catering facility tailored to the needs of a large-scale workplace environment.

The project involved the design, supply and installation of a fully integrated commercial production kitchen and contemporary restaurant servery, created to support approximately 900 staff members on site. Bartlett developed an efficient and future-focused catering solution incorporating the latest energy-efficient commercial kitchen equipment from leading manufacturers including Rational, Falcon Foodservice Equipment, Hobart UK and Bravilor Bonamat, while all heavy-duty stainless steel fabrication was supplied by Moffat.

In addition to the back-of-house kitchen installation, Bartlett designed and supplied a bespoke Corian-topped servery counter, carefully planned to maximise customer flow, improve operational efficiency and enhance the overall dining experience. Our team provided expert guidance on layout, positioning and space utilisation to ensure smooth movement throughout the restaurant and servery areas.

The completed commercial kitchen and catering facility delivers a durable, energy-efficient and functional environment designed to meet the demands of a busy modern workplace while supporting long-term operational performance.
