Devon Wildlife Trust was appointed as operator to the Centre and developed the plans for a highly immersive interpretation centre to provide a great quality visitor experience.
The project secured over £4million of funding from the three local authorities, the Heritage Lottery Fund, Coastal Communities Fund, Garfield Weston Foundation, Fine Family Foundation, Jurassic Coast Trust, Jurassic Coast World Heritage Team and the Seaton Visitor Centre Trust.
Having had an initial layout produced Devon Wildlife Trust approached Bartlett to develop the design into a full working model, not only for the equipment but also for all necessary services to provide a fully operational kitchen and food servery.
Bartlett worked in close conjunction with the client team and provided full designs which met the clients operational needs as well as budget available.
Having completed the design, Bartlett won the order to carry out the supply and installation of the kitchen and servery equipment.
Starting with a completely bare kitchen, Bartlett works included fully rewiring the areas in addition to all necessary plumbing and ventilation works to provide fully operational facilities, all works were carried out in house by Bartlett qualified staff.
With a very tight deadline to work too, including having to work over a Christmas shut down, Bartlett completed the contract and handed over to the end users a week early.
Total contract value £64,000-00
